The Ultimate Check List

Ok, so you trained hard for months, you endured your long runs on Sundays in the cold, the heat, the rain, the wind. You tapered and you carbs loaded properly. We can confidently say the hardest part is done and now it's (almost) only fun.

Either you will travel hundreds of miles or stay in your city, it's time to think about your race pack, the absolutely necessary items you will need on race day

If you're travelling...

Pack your race outfit, trainers and nutrition in a carry-on bag. Don't take the chance to have a delayed luggage - it happened to a friend of mine in New York!

Prepare and pack your shake out run outfit separately- no need for last minute clothes washing.

Play with jet lag! If you travel East, the time difference will be in your favour and you will naturally wake up early. No need to arrive too many days in advance.

Travelling more than 5 hours? Pack snacks and a refillable water bottle to carb load and stay hydrated during the flight.
